When you browse
You do not need an account. We do not ask for your name, birthday, location or identity documents to read this site. We have not installed advertising pixels or visitor analytics. Directory and resource searches operate in your browser and are not sent to us, saved to an account or added to the page address. Your chosen state is remembered in this browser tab using session storage; clearing the directory filters removes that choice. Search text, interests and age filters are not saved.
Our hosting provider, Vercel, necessarily receives technical information such as your IP address, requested page and browser/network information to deliver and protect the website. This is separate from the resource-filter choices on the page. Your browser may retain history or cached files.
If you email us
We receive your email address, the name you use, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer you, assess a listing or correction, and manage complaints or website safety. A request may need an official contact or evidence of authority before we can act. You can use a preferred name for general enquiries.
Do not send identity documents, medical records, participant lists or unnecessary details about sexuality, health or other people. Your private correspondence is not published. Only reviewed public listing information, with the required permission, may appear on the website. Emailing us does not subscribe you to marketing.
Providers, storage and retention
Vercel hosts the website; our support mailbox uses VentraIP/Nexigen Digital. Supabase stores our private directory research and approved public listing records. Only the approved public listing fields are exported to this website; private research notes and correspondence are not included. Their service, security and support operations can involve overseas processing, including the United States for Vercel and international support processing by Supabase. The directory database is hosted in Sydney. We do not promise all processing stays in Australia. Access to correspondence is restricted to handling the request and operating the service. We keep information while needed for those purposes, including necessary complaint, security or legal records, and remove or de-identify information no longer needed. Provider security logs and backup copies follow their own retention processes; immediate deletion of every provider copy is not promised.
Your choices and concerns
Email support to ask what information we hold about you, request access or correction, ask us to remove unnecessary information, or make a privacy complaint. Sean handles these requests and will explain any information needed to establish that the request is yours. No paid account is required. If you remain dissatisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner for guidance about available complaint options.
Other websites
Resource links lead to independent providers with their own privacy practices, age requirements and service terms. We do not send them your filter choices. Our links are information, not an accreditation or guarantee of care. Aussie Gay Dating is a separate website with its own notices.
This notice covers the website as it operates now. Any future change to how information is collected will need corresponding information before that feature opens.
